After years of struggling with acne and trying everything, I decided to develop the gentle, effective, accessible skincare I couldn’t find. That’s why I founded Off We Glow: because achieving healthy, glowing skin shouldn’t be complicated or expensive.
OUR FOUNDER’S STORY
Like many women, Luisa’s struggle with adult acne was more than skin deep – it affected her confidence, social life, and sense of self. Despite trying countless products and treatments, nothing seemed to work. She spent a fortune on facials and bought every recommended product, only to see temporary improvements before the breakouts returned. It felt like an endless cycle.
A severe reaction to a new product left her skin red and irritated, serving as a wake-up call about the importance of non-comedogenic ingredients. Her physician explained that many of the products she used—even those for acne-prone skin—contained ingredients that were clogging her pores and worsening her skin concerns. She had to throw away nearly all of her skincare and makeup products, and discovered how hard it is to find truly non-comedogenic alternatives.
Determined to find a better solution, she partnered with a veteran cosmetic scientist. Together, they developed a breakthrough formula: a multi-tasking serum that delivered multiple skincare benefits without a single pore-clogging ingredient. As her skin transformed, friends noticed her newfound glow and asked what she was using. When she shared samples of the formula, they came back asking for more. That’s when she knew she had created something special. Something that could help others struggling with the same issues she had faced.

Today, Polaris also uses data, expertise, and strategic partnerships to hold traffickers accountable and address the vulnerabilities that enable the business of stealing freedom for profit.
